Parkopedia, the world's leading parking services provider, and AMAP (AutoNavi Map), announced a strategic partnership whereby Parkopedia will provide parking data services to several well-known car manufacturers in China.
Through this integration, AMAP will utilize Parkopedia’s parking data services to allow drivers including luxury car manufacturers in China to search for free parking spaces directly from their car head unit. AMAP will leverage Parkopedia’s parking data which will be used by drivers across China. Commenting on the deal, Parkopedia’s COO Hans Puvogel said, “As a well-known navigation service provider in China, Parkopedia is very pleased to work with AMAP to provide drivers with a superior service and the best possible parking information”.
Parkopedia provides detailed parking information including details on prices, opening hours, precise location, dynamic space availability, across major cities in China. Parkopedia also provides transaction services to help drivers pay for parking, through the in-car head unit or their smartphone.
