The biggest announcement from Parkopedia, follows the AVP project completion, with a release detailing “from project to product” on how indoor mapping has developed from a successful proof-of-concept project and will now look to roll-out a complete indoor mapping service for OEMs. A key quote from Dr. Brian Holt states how this technology is now “essential” for OEMs to start to integrate if we are to meet growing driver demands, and that he “looks forward to the day when navigation systems going blank inside parking facilities becomes a distant memory for us all.”
In wider product news for 2021, Parkopedia will present an updated product overview, showcasing the latest product offerings and how their services and data within the industry are truly unparalleled. The update will detail static/ dynamic data and indoor mapping, in addition to expanding transactions into new domains. This expansion within the platform is scheduled to deliver a new level of connected service to drivers, above and beyond what many have had to become accustomed to with managing multiple payment devices, user accounts and smartphone apps to manage these features today.
