Parkopedia now provides off-street parking data in the MBUX navigation system, starting with the new Mercedes Benz A-class cars in China;
The parking service will be extended to more imported and locally manufactured Mercedes Benz models;
Parkopedia provides detailed information on 49,000 parking lots and garages across 87 cities in China, and has recently bolstered its presence in the Chinese market with the appointment of new China MD, Ding Xian.

Parkopedia, the parking services provider with the most automotive customers in China, announced today that its parking services are now launched in Mercedes-Benz passenger cars in China, starting with the A-class. The parking service is available in all locally produced and imported A-class cars as part of the Mercedes COMAND Online Navigation system.
The Parkopedia service provides detailed information on parking garages, including details on prices, opening hours, precise location, and many other relevant attributes for drivers, as well as dynamic space availability, helping take the pain out of parking.
Commenting on the announcement, Parkopedia’s new China MD Ding Xian said “We are delighted to work with Daimler to integrate directly with Mercedes Benz cars in China, providing drivers with a superior service and the best possible parking information. To be the supplier to Mercedes-Benz Cars, whose claim is ‘The best or nothing’, is a real honour”.
This service is now available within new A-class Mercedes Benz cars equipped with the COMAND Online Navigation system.

Parkopedia, the world’s leading parking services provider, today announced the appointment of Derek Rohloff as Vice President of Automotive, North America, whilst Tom Sexton joins to head up Business Development, North America.
In this new role based out of Detroit, Derek will be focusing on Parkopedia’s North American partnerships with automotive OEMs and Tier-1s. Prior to joining Parkopedia, Derek served as Vice President for Automotive & Wireless Business Development at NextRadio & TagStation, and has over 15 years experience in the automotive sector.
Tom joins to lead Business Development in North America, primarily focusing on developing Parkopedia’s business with related verticals including fleets and Electric Vehicle charging. Tom brings with him a multitude of experience across data-driven software solutions for the automotive, fleet, connected vehicle, location and mapping sectors.

Parkopedia, the world’s leading parking services provider, announced today that its comprehensive suite of parking services has been extended to include the complete range of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. The parking service is now available in all head units as part of the Mercedes COMAND Online Navigation system or can be can be purchased as an additional service to the Navigation system in Europe and North America.
Parkopedia is providing drivers with a premium parking service in both Europe and North America; which includes detailed information on parking garages and street parking with detailed restriction information; as well as dynamic space availability. Drivers will also be able to book and pay for parking using their Mercedes-Benz user accounts
In addition to providing the service to new Mercedes-Benz cars, Parkopedia’s parking service will be made available in legacy vehicles that have been on the road for up to 3 years. In addition to launching in passenger cars, the Parkopedia service will also be available via the Mercedes.me app.

Delivering on customer expectations for the full integration of mobile services into the vehicle experience, Honda is demonstrating its prototype Honda Dream Drive, the automotive industry's first integrated driver and passenger infotainment, commerce, services and rewards dashboards within the vehicle environment. First shown as a concept at CES 2017, Honda Dream Drive has evolved to offer drivers and passengers a broad range of convenient services and engaging entertainment options, while minimizing the potential for driver distraction. Developed in collaboration with Connected Travel, a connected vehicle platform and application services company, Honda is offering demos of Honda Dream Drive in the all-new 2019 Honda Passport at its CES booth #7900 in the North Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Jan. 8-11, 2019.
The new prototype mobile-based dashboards provide services and experiences designed specifically for both drivers and passengers:
Honda Dream Drive: Driver demonstrates the expansion of Honda's in-vehicle payment technology concept, first introduced at CES 2017 with Visa. It enables drivers to pay for goods and services like fuel, movie tickets and parking, make restaurant reservations, food ordering for pickup or delivery, and even share the driver's location with friends and family.
Honda Dream Drive: Passenger offers passengers the ability to play mixed reality games, watch movies, listen to music, read original comics stories, use travel applications, explore new points of interest along the route, and control the radio and cabin features – all from the passenger's mobile device.
Moreover, customers will have access to purchase Honda Dream Drive content, movie or event tickets, order ahead, and a variety of other convenience options provided by Honda's collaborators.

Inc., The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®, Grubhub, Glympse, iHeartRadio, IPS Group, Arrive, Parkopedia, Phillips 66, Yelp, and USAA – for its voice enabled, driver dashboard for parking, gasoline payment, restaurant reservations, ticketing, audio, location sharing, and rewards.
Honda collaborated with AAA, DC, Entercom/RADIO.COM, the LEGO Group, Silvergate Media and the Octonauts team, and Univision Music to create its passenger dashboard for entertainment, education, travel, commerce and rewards experiences.
Expanded in-vehicle payment partnerships Since 2016, Honda has worked with Visa to build and enhance the in-vehicle payment experience to make payments more convenient and secure. Now, Honda is expanding its in-vehicle payment collaboration to include Mastercard and PayPal. Collectively, Honda is working with these partners to create the vehicle experience of the future.
Rewards Program for Honda customers In an effort to create new value for vehicle ownership and use, Honda Developer Studio is user testing a new points-based rewards program to benefit drivers and passengers for using Honda products and services. Drivers and passengers can earn rewards points for participating in a variety of activities including purchasing services, watching and listening to media, and playing games.

The new Joint Venture will create a unique suite of on-street parking services for Smart Cities and the automotive industry in China;
This joint venture adds to Zhitu Map’s suite of geospatial services for Smart Cities and cements Parkopedia’s position as the leading parking services provider for the automotive industry in China;

This joint venture will provide hundreds of millions of Chinese drivers with up to date on-street parking data, including space availability information, which will allow drivers to go directly to an open parking space instead of circling the block searching for one.
The joint venture will leverage Parkopedia's position as the global leader in the automotive digital parking services sector as well as Zhitu Map's unparalleled knowledge in the field of surveying and mapping. The main aim of the joint venture is to create a unique customer offering in China, which will tackle the challenges of urban mobility head on whilst improving the quality of life in big cities.

Parkopedia will provide Flowbird with off-street parking data and booking capabilities for its Path to Park app. In addition, Flowbird will market Parkopedia’s data and services as part of its full suite of products and services for municipal and commercial parking operators.
In turn, Flowbird will provide Parkopedia with its unique on-street parking data exclusively, which Parkopedia will use to further improve its on-street parking data for consumers and B2B customers.
